After several years in IT, I took a sabbatical and set off to travel through Central America. But after a while, I started missing a the space to grow and learn something new. That’s when I deeply discovered blockchain world, made my first investments and gradually became hooked.
But I was checking the markets more often than was healthy. I spent more time with charts than with the people around me, constantly on edge, irritable, and sleeping poorly. Analyses and forecasts replaced rest, and the more I tried to keep the markets under control, the more I lost control of myself.
Instead of freedom came addiction. Instead of calm came restlessness and instead of fortune came loss.
It’s the tempting chance to make money fast that make crypto so risky. Yet few talk about what can happen behind the scenes when someone falls too deep: burnout, anxiety, isolation, and the mental strain.
That’s why I decided to swap the charts for understanding what lies beneath them – share it with others, organize lectures for students and talk openly about risks that aren’t only financial, but also psychoogical.
Thanks to everyone who read this little confession of mine :)
